"Moving Women from Success to Significance"
The mission of Leadership California is to increase the representation and influence of diverse women leaders across the state and inspire them to act on their knowledge of issues and cutting-edge trends facing California, the nation and the world.
Who We Are
Leadership California, through its California Issues & Trends (CIT) program, Washington D.C. program, Central Valley Women's Forum, and other valuable programs, moves women from success to significance. We motivate and inspire accomplished women to reach higher aspirations and to have the knowledge, confidence, and connections to improve California’s future.
Leadership California is a diverse network of more than 1,600 women leaders who graduated from our programs, and over 3,000 supporters, including speakers, sponsors and advisors, dedicated to advancing the leadership role of women in California. We are a nonprofit, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) foundation with a governing board of directors and dedicated staff.
Through the California Issues & Trends Program, we are poised to influence, impact, and strengthen the future of California in innovative ways.
• Leadership California is committed to expanding the knowledge, connections, and opportunities available to women leaders.
• After attending our programs, Alumnae seek increasingly significant roles in career and communities because they are emboldened to take a leap forward.
• Participants feel a transformation as they are empowered to do more, be more, and give more.
What We Do
Our organization provides the knowledge, connections and inspiration to help women reach higher aspirations:
• Leadership development and perspectives
• Programs to stay current on key California issues and trends
• Access to a strong network of successful women leaders across the state
• A strong symbol of diversity and inclusion
• Repository of talented, knowledgeable and connected women leaders ready to serve and make an impact on issues
Leadership California is a network of accomplished women leaders. This growing, diverse network comes from Leadership California’s key program, California Issues & Trends (CIT), which graduates 60 women each year with new understanding of the complex global, national and state issues facing California.
Since 1988, Leadership California has enhanced women’s leadership throughout California by providing a forum for women to strengthen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing the state. Our network of leaders is composed of women from diverse ethnic, regional, and business backgrounds. With this strong focus on diversity, Leadership California continues to grow and touch California’s communities and businesses. Through our programs, the women of Leadership California make a commitment to the changing face of California.
Leadership California partners with corporate, academic, government and community organizations to financially support our mission, and to include their women leaders in our programs. We fulfill our mission through unique learning and networking opportunities to empower and prepare our women to take effective action.
